The place it’s at is closing down, apparently. I don’t know if that means I can have it for a song or not, and I’m not sure how that interfaces with my current ability to store the one I have. Plusses: It’s a Continental in four-door, so not only has near 100% commonality, but has good glass, and a rear “breezeway window” Might have good rocker panels, also . Minuses: I don’t know if it’d actually be affordable, or if I could deal with actually sacrificing one to save the other, which I’d likely have to because 19'x6'8 is a lot of square footage to store twice.

Hot rod points for a ‘59:

- Engine is not actually V12

-19' is kind of long for a hot rod

+Engine does have 350 gross hp, is 7L

+Giant brick can actually accelerate pretty gud

I hope parts availability is in that equation somewhere because body/trim/interior pieces have to be pretty hard to get.

Both mine and the one in the lot, to my knowledge, have all their trim and other pieces. Save mine needing windows, and presumably either of them needing door seals or beltline seals. Where things will get screwy would be rebuilding switches and motors, because Electric All The Things.

It’d be pretty strange to spend more on the lift to store them than both cars. :D

Also, would probably need to be the extra-wide. The platform width on the normal one is all of 3 3/4" wider than the car.
